  • Dark Shadows: The Revival Ep 1 1991

This is a fun retelling of the 1960s version of the same story. It tells the story of Barnabas Collins, a 200 year old vampire, who is release from his chained coffin by the Collins family handy man, Willie Loomis, who thought that valuable jewels were inside. Barnabas makes up a story of being a distant cousin from England and ingratiates himself with his families descendants. Soon the small town is under attack by a hungry vampire.

  • Sometimes the newest format isn't the best format.

The VHS copy is superior to the DVD release. There are more scenes, the night filtering is intact, and the screen ratio is the original. Once one is past the technical stuff, all I can say is that Ben Cross is one hell of a sexy reluctant vampire.
