My first pair of clipless pedals were Dura Ace decades ago. Over the years I've updated components and have used DA pedals throughout and never had issues. Only thing was with the Lance Armstrong model with the plastic plate but Shimano had replacement part for them so really no big deal

These top-tier pedals replaced some very nice Ultegra pedals that I bought in 2007. To be honest, they aren't as significantly lighter than the older Ultegra pedals as I thought they would be, but they are very nice. Remember, they take a short break in period. I did not realize this, and was nearly unable to clip out at the first stoplight. Overall, they are a very nice product, and they are still quality...made in Japan.

I recently switched from Time pedals to Shimano SPD. I find the Shimano a simpler design easier to get in and out of. They are smooth light and stylish.

These pedals transfer power from foot to crank better than the speedplays that I replaced. Additionally, they are lighter.

Smooth and faster and we'll worth the money.
