Portable scanning made easy
If you are looking for a portable, personal scanner, this is exactly what you need. This scanner works very well. It connects very easy and is powered by a usb cable. You do need to make sure you download the DS600 drivers from the internet. Once that is done, you can scan everything on this sheet fed scanner. It helps me get various receipts and reports scanned to pdfs quickly and easily. I am using windows 7 on my laptop and have noo problem using the unit. The scanner fits easily in my laptop bag and takes up minial space.If you are looking for a portable, personal scanner, this is exactly what you need. This scanner works very well. Pentex DSmobile Pass-Through Scanner (Really portable)
Works with my MAC. It works with the software I use for keeping track of receipts. Without having all that paper build up at the desk. I can just file them then look them up and find the in the file folder later. It also works with photos and most other software I have. It was a good value. And I love the ease of use, portability & that it is USB powered. It scans buses card and makes them ready for my address book with out a whole lot of changes. Thank youWorks with my MAC. Good name-brand device in reasonably good condition. Very usable.
This is actually a Brother scanner. A few years ago it was probably state-of-the-art. A lot of software must be installed on a computer before the scanner can be used. The one I got was mutilated: someone bored a hole in one corner of the base, on the underside. It hadn't been used in years, and I had to coax it gently to get it to operate. But it's been running lately. And compared to the original price it was a very nice deal.This is actually a Brother scanner. A few years ago it was probably state-of-the-art. Excellent for Those 'On the Go'
Was searching for a portable sheet scanner that was very light, easy to use and dependable! I got what I needed and wanted when I purchased the Pentax DSmobile 600 Pass-Through Scanner!! Works exactly as advertised! I highly recommend it to those individuals that need an excellent sheet scanner that is rugged and has a very small footprint.

First, let me tell you I am an avid computer user of all technologies (both PC, Mac, Linux, etc.). These scanners are CRAP!!!!. Out of the box I found them to work very poorly. The software is limited. The scanner takes the pages in, but looses traction and then it is scanned at an angle. The quality of the scans are EXTREMELY poor. Adjustments are too great even for the software to handle. I highly recommend looking into Visioneer Strobe 300 or 200 XP using their software. You can not beat it.
