    Victorinox Bread Knife

    I love this knife! I'm a home baker and make breads, rolls, etc. This bread knife cuts neat, even slices for sandwiches. It doesn't drag or squish the soft interior of the bread, but easily slices through crusty sour dough loaves. The quality is excellent, the edge is sharp, and the knife is well-made and sturdy. The price also makes it easily affordable. A good knife is a treasure, I hope to own more Victorinox knives to join this one and others in my collection.

    Cuts Bread Like Butter

    This bread knife is designed well. The blade easily enters a loaf of bread whether it's hot, warm or cold and slices with precision. If you like thin to wide slices, you can get them with this knife. Slices fall away from the loaf keeping their original loaf dimension with the thickness you prefer. The knife is comfortable to hold. The blade length is perfect.

    Wonderful Bread Knife, and a great Value

    Cook's Illustrated is not always right, but they are about this knife. It is better than knives costing 5 times as much. Excellent for bread, obviously, but also for slicing cakes into layers or any other serrated work. The knife does not last for ever. Mine broke after five years or so. I bought another one immediately. Given that it is almost impossible to sharpen a serrated knife perfectly, having to replace it after a few years is not a bad thing - just makes you even gladder you didn't spend a hundred bucks on one to match a fancy set that doesn't work as well.
