HP Officejet inks are smear-proof, protecting your prints from smearing especially with use of a highlighter pen or when accidently spilled on with water. This inkjet printer helps boost productivity with its automatic two-sided printing. Together with the ISO print speeds that produce 20 ppm for black prints and 16 ppm for color prints, you are also able to print in grayscale and manually print double-sided documents by printing odd and even pages. The built-in wired Ethernet 10/100Base-TX (RJ45) and wireless 802.11n networking makes it easier for you to print your documents wherever you are and while on the go. The HP Officejet Pro 8100 has the ability to be used online and offline and may be used with Hi-Speed 2.0 USB to connect directly to your computer. Print directly from any of your Apple products with AirPrint technology. As long as you are connected to the same wireless network as the printer, print directly from your iPhone, iPad, and Mac computer without the need to download and set up printer drivers. Similarly, HP’s ePrint feature allows you to print your documents from the cloud. It is a convenient and hassle-free service that is provided by HP for free. Sign up for an account to view your printout’s status, manage your printer queue, and control who has access to your ePrint account. The printer features a 250-paper tray with an option to add a second tray that accommodates an additional 250 sheets of paper. Create brochures and flyers with borderless prints of up to 8.5 x 11 inches or the size of an American A4 paper. Different types of media are used for any application such as plain paper, matte and glossy photo paper, and cardstock. Custom-sized papers and envelopes are used with no problem. Photo prints are good quality at a maximum of 4800x1200 dpi, and are comparable to professionally printed photos. The HP Officejet Pro 8100 was designed with accessibility in mind; making it easier for people with low to no vision to use the printer. This is achieved by technologies available in the HP software that supports screen readers, braille readers, and other assistive technology. Users with limited mobility can operate the printer using keyboard commands and other Windows accessibility options such as StickyKeys and FilterKeys. Increase your bottom line with resource-saving features such as the Sleep Mode. It helps reduce your power usage by putting your printer on Sleep Mode after five minutes of inactivity. The e-Printer can also be set so that it automatically shuts off after eight hours of inactivity. Printing on Draft Setting uses less ink than the regular print mode and printing on both sides of the paper using the duplexer reduces paper wastage.     So many good reviews are out there and they are true. Good quality, fast, quiet, easy setup, WiFi connects easy. Nothing found that is a problem. Inexpensive ink readily available (with new chips so monitoring features work).

    This is a Hi Quality profesonal printer at a reasonable price. I love it

    There was shipping problem. This printer was shipped in its original box and some were this shipping container that went through water exposing contents (the box and the printer) Shipped by USPS. I thought the printer was had". I took it apart and set it on a heater duct over night to dry it out. The next day’ I put it back together and program was installed in my computer. After all the steps were done I plug it in & tried it out to see what would happen. I was surprised this printer work perfectly as it was suppose to. I tried out a double sided pamphlet to see what duplex printing was? It worked grate and everything else also work. Its fast, the printing is sharp and clear easy to read. The Photo printing also works’ it produced a sharp, clear picture. After all” the thing this printer ...

    Best Printer I've ever used!

    Excellent product to replace another of the same make and model which lasted 6 years. Finally played out on me and luck fell into my lap in finding this brand new one. The print quality is great. Speedy printing, even when printing 2-sided. I've use a number of printers before, but never had one that has the qualities this one has.

    Great printer at a great price

    I have an 8600 so knew what to expect with the 8100. First, the software worked fine; that is not always the case with HP. HP has come a long way in the last few years. The printer is fast and the paper handleing is flawless. The quality of the print is very good and the ink is affordable. What else do you want? Note: I used the newest software from the HP support site instead of the disc that came with the printer. I also updated the firmware which is not very hard to do.
