one of the best movie musicals ever made in the 1970's
an excellent veteran cast of character portrayals by Eastwood Seberg Walston Presnell and the great Lee Marvin as well as many others make this a great musical made for the movie entertainment.although some of the songs were added to the original score from the Broadway version it is still great movie musical magic at its finest. Paint Your Wagon - Clint Eastwood Classic
I bought this movie for my mother. She is into the classic westerns. I am not into those kind of movies at all but I ended up enjoying it. My mother had made a comment that this was the ONLY movie Clint Eastwood ever sang in. He had 2 singing parts if I remember correctly. It is a lovely tale about 2 men who form a town called "No Name City" who end up unpacking their bags because they found gold in a stream of water while stopping for a drink. The town consists of only men when one day a Mormon with 2 wives stumbles across their town. He gives up one of his wives to the highest bidder. Clint's partner is the one who bids highest, and the rest of the movie is a race between partners who both find affection for the woman. This is one of Clint's earliest films. Country Western ...
