The wand I got was for a V8, and I have a V10. It does go on, but you have to jiggle it a bit, and the button does not pop up. Also, the wand does not "click" on so that you can pull it off. However, it does seem to work so I can still use it.

The wand is originally for a V8, as the listing indicates, but it is also compatible with all Dyson models that use that connecter (V7 V8 V10 V11 V15 etc) but as far as the clicking, this could either be a problem with the end of the wand or the device itself, there's no way to tell without inspecting each.
