    Funny in a sad way.

    Ham-fisted, pro-Stalinist propaganda film. A great example of collaboration between Stalin's regime and the Hollywood Left in the decade leading up to WWII. Rationalizes Stalin's purges and presents him as one of the "greatest planners in human history." Presents Trotsky as a collaborator with the Germans.

    A very interesting film on the Stralinist Moscow ever done in Hollywood

    Interesting film, a historical vision into a Stalinist Mosocw, seen by the eyes of the American ambassdor Davies, athour of a remarcable book of the same name. The movie was done during the World War II time, and is a testimony of a very close relationship between the USSR and USA in the war years.
