About this product

Product Information

The Kenko MC7 DGX Teleconverter lens enables the user to dramatically increase the ability of their lens in a quick, easy, and inexpensive way. The Kenko DGX Teleconvertor lens also means the user does not have the inconvenience of carrying extra telephoto lenses around with them. This lens features a genuine Gate Array IC (Integrated Circuitry), which enables the Kenko DGX Teleconvertor lens to maintain the communication between the body of the camera and the lens exactly as the original manufacturerss convertor would. The effective focal length is displayed in the viewfinder, thus displaying 400 mm when using the 2x convertor on a 200 mm lens. Autofocus will be maintained when the Kenko DGX Teleconvertor lens is used with lenses with a maximum aperture of f/4 or greater. If used with smaller maximum apertures, the Kenko MC7 DGX Teleconverter lens may be limited to manual focus operation. Featuring a magnification of 2.0x, this Teleconverter lens for Canon has a depth of field on of the prime lens with a minimum focusing distance equal to the prime lens. This Teleconverter lens for Canon is constructed with 7 elements in 5 groups with a fully automatic diaphragm coupling. The barrel length of the Kenko MC7 DGX Teleconverter lens is 36 mm and weighs 6 oz.

  • Just breakable enough...

This little gem saved my bacon!! More on that later, but first, let me say I feel this is a very nice optic, and it did not impede the AF function of the lenses I tested it with (Tamron 150-600 & Canon 200/f2.8L) EXCEPT when there wasn't enough light, which is hardly the fault of the teleconverter, more just the normal limitations of AF in general. I liked how well the camera & lens communicated with the TC in place, AND that the aperture was adjusted in the EXIF to reflect the TC effect accurately (so that the "wide-open" 6.3 @ 600mm became a 12.6 @ 1200, as it necessarily does when doubling the focal length). The metering, at least during the limited time I had to try it out, stayed spot on, too. I liked the IQ, but didn't get enough chance to really thoroughly evaluate it before it ...

  • Not compatible with all canon lenses

Found out that it is only compatible with same alignment dot color and style. It has a red round dot and works great with the lenses that have a round red dot. However it will not even connect with the other lens that came with my camera that has a white square

  • perfect fit

The Teleconverter is a handy way to bring more power to your lens but at the cost of light. It's light weight is a plus when hiking.

  • Worth the money. :) good stuff.

THIS KENKO MC7 CANON VERSION works on most all of the canon lenses. The canon brand 2x only works on the "L" glass lenses. Kenko did a good thing here. :) It works nice, and handles great. And the price is much better than most other @x convertors. Good stuff, cheap. I like it!

  • As described

Thank you so much Ron..Looking to deal with you again!
