It's an 8 inch long fairly thick piece of fire steel with a striker and a carabiner on a piece of paracord. It's great value for money and looks like it will last a very long time. It arrived in a sturdy paper-card envelope which gives it an excellent appearance if giving it as a gift.

Contacted seller who replied fast and was great sending replacement- I was a bit gutted still. It arrived. Actually made me laugh as it’s so big! (old V’s new pic)- heavier than I imagined too. Striker, attached by parra cord (and clip), has nice sharp edges and the end is beveled so should create nice shavings (yes it has the bottle opener portion too 😉). Perfect & creates good sparks (after removing protective black paint).
