About this product

Product Information

An overhead shooter in the vein of arcade classics such as Asteroids and Bosconian, XG Blast! finds gamers helming the spaceship Aknathen after it accidentally wandered into hostile territory during a test flight. Players can battle hordes of enemy ships and giant bosses in the story-driven "Discovery" mode, earn medals by staying alive for as long as possible in "Survival" mode, or take on friends in two-player co-op or four-player deathmatch multiplayer modes. There are multiple control schemes available to suit different preferences, and each weapon can be upgraded four times for maximum firepower.

For one of the THE best games in the entire library of the DS Lite, Xg blast is the best. from great but hard to get powerups to frightening bosses and legions of alien enemy craft, few games measure up to this hyper-speed rail shooter that is reminiscent of 1943, and Raiden. SO worth buying, but be warned .. this is a challenge-game, and takes quick reflexes and much level grinding. - Requires more than one cartridge to play multiplayer. formerly could use the internet through wifi to access the net for multiplayer, but Nintendo made the ds's internet wifi defunct - Heavy duty arcade style gameplay contained within a tiny cartridge, in the depths of outer space
