    Midsomer Murders excellent plots and characters

    This very long series has well developed characters and plots. The English villages are fascinating to see and the photography is excellent. There are 115 mysteries in the series, and this set includes numbers 101-104.

    Midsomer Murders is one of the best of the genre

    Midsomer Murders is a British murder mystery series made for TV, now in its 18th year. There are over 100 episodes all together, each of which is about 90 minutes in length. The acting and characterizations are great and have an exotic (and maybe nostalgic) feeling for Americans - especially Sykes, the dog! We first began watching these shows when we found them at our local library, but they did not have the most recent year that is available on disc which would be this one. Hence, we had to purchase Series 17 here on eBay. The shows for this year/season are not out on disc yet, but we look forward to seeing them, too.

    WE LOVE THIS ENTIRE SERIES - SO WE ARE A BIT PREJUDICED

    We really miss Tom Barnaby, but the series continues on ... we truly enjoy the characters and stories. We do notice a sudden shift in the character make up that we can only assume is a sudden acquiescence to PC run amok.

    Midsommer Murders

    Have always liked the series and even the changes have kept it true to the original. However, changing the Series to 17 was a bit confusing. This should be 26 in the series. It is hard to remember if you have purchased it by changing the numbers.
