It has an ISO capability of 100 to 16,000 sensitivity, and 30-second to 1/4000 shutter speeds capable of bursts of up to 12 images per second. The SLT-A57's lens mount accepts all Sony DSLR lenses, as well as A-mount Konica Minolta and Minolta lenses, for true photographic freedom. Auto capture mode, Auto Portrait Framing, Face Detection, Blink Detection, and a host of other features transform this into a point-and-shoot camera. And with 1080p Full HD video recording, capturing your most important memories is easy.This Sony A57 Camera has Translucent Mirror Technology DSLR capabilities for simultaneous focus and capture every time. With this A57 camera, you can shoot up to twelve fps in Tele-zoom High-speed mode with auto focus. The large Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor allows for a wide sensitivity range of 7 1/3 steps. You will get amazing results with its AUTO ISO (100-3200) in most lighting conditions. You can even raise its sensitivity to ISO 16,000 in low light conditions. This Sony digital SLT SLT-A57 has release time lag which makes it possible to capture all your moments without missing a thing. Just push the shutter button and it will respond in 0.05 of a second. Its Object Tracking Feature will automatically switch between face detection and object tracking. You can use this Sony A57 Camera to create amazingly clear movies in Full HD resolution that replay smoothly. You can also manually create movies with its Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual modes. The sound is clear with minimal background noise due to its advanced noise reduction feature that reduces AF lens drive noise. You even have interchangeable lens freedom.     Outstanding camera produces great photos

    I shoot mostly wildlife, particularly birds in flight, and this camera makes it easy. Fast autofocus that locks on to your subject and 10 frames per second gives me some awesome shots. Excellent older Minolta lenses are compatible and help keep prices down. Battery life is excellent, I can shoot 300 to 400 shots a day without having to change batteries. I'm on my second A57 now, my first one has over 162,000 shutter actuations and is still working. Love this camera.

    Amazing a57

    I am guy who would only shoot in manual and raw. I enjoyed the challenge of getting a great picture of what I was seeing. Well as I got older I just slowly stopped taking pictures. This Christmas I saw a Sony a100 the picture was amazing so I ended up buying a a57 and shot pictures last night. I’m blown away at what this camera can do with older Minolta lenses. So far the camera can do everything I used take hours to do in seconds. Now I can just focus on the pictures I want to get and not worry about changing my settings all the time. I’m starting to enjoy photography again. I can’t wait to shoot some more pictures.
