Item could’ve been a little more descriptive I was surprised by some of the details but nothing bad. Shipping was fast. Communication is rocky with this seller as he gives no compromise and only what they want. Packaged great but shipping was pricy. Overall good seller.

    Excellent series!

My husband and I are Nero Wolfe readers from way back. This TV series did well at capturing the characters, despite the short length of most of the episodes. My only complaint is that the other actors are an ensemble; many of them appear in several or all of the episodes--playing different characters. A bit disconcerting. I wish the series had gone on for more than two seasons. A warning: The last episode (perhaps intended as a separate movie) is The Golden Spiders. It actually should be the first viewed, since it establishes the characters.

  • One of the best private investigator series ever.

Rex Stout wrote a wonderful collection of books about Nero Wolfe and his sidekick Archie Goodwin. These books have been beautifully retold for television in this marvelous series. Not only are the stories perfectly retold, they are done so with great style and humor. If you love mystery / detective stories, you will not only love these, you will want more.

  • Worth watching several times

The series is many hours of entertainment. They took a few liberties with the author's original text but what do you expect from Hollywood liberals... Some decent period motor vehicles, Archie's clothes are a hoot and Mr Wolfe is Mr Wolfe. Not enough orchids on screen but then the original Wolfe had a reported 10,000 in his rooftop greenhouse. The stories are pretty good and I like the chemistry between Mr Hutton and Ms Matchett. Worth watching several times.

  • One of the best series from a book adaptation that I have ever come across.

So well made. The set, the costumes and the actual acting is as good as it gets. This is one of the most impressive period series that I have ever seen.
