Despite the caption of "navy leather" I looked and looked and was pretty sure it was actually black. Dark blue and black can be tricky. It arrived and is black in every light I tried it under - particularly strong sun light. I'm happy either way. This is an excellent design - it has a strap long enough to be a true crossbody. It has an external zipper you can use for easy access and safety for you cell phone, a couple of external pockets you can use to quickly stash receipts. Great inside.
