      not for a Craftsman lawn tractor

      I bought this because i needed a deck drive belt tension spring (2nd picture)on my Craftsman lawn tractor. when I search the part number this is what came up...this is NOT the deck drive belt tension spring. this is the deck belt tension spring(3rd picture)( I needed that one too). the lawn tractor has 3 belts. 1: drive belt.... for the transmission to move the tractor 2: deck drive belt ... that operates the the deck pulley (spins the blades) 3: the deck belt... that operates the 3 blades on the deck I'll give you the fact the tractor is about 30 years old and this spring maybe for a newer model. I did end up using this spring on the deck belt tension(third picture). I had to shorten it on both ends to get it to work. this spring does NOT fit the model tractor pictured.
