Animals are beautiful people.
The only thing I notice is the cover wasn't clean. But for what I payed for it it was ok. This is an awesome movie for families to watch. It's not a movie it's about these funny animals. I have watch it before this one probabliy twenty times.

Beautiful Animals, Really!
I watched this movie in cinema when I was at high school in mid 1970s. I like it so much. It's funny, fascinating, with beautiful panorama of Africa dessert magnificently shot. The shot of drunken animals after eating an overripe fruita is so funny. I laughed till the tears drop. Jamie Uys, who gave us Gods Must Be Crazy, need more than four years to make it. No wonder he won Best Documentary Award at 1975 Golden Globe Awards. I feel happy that at last this movie was released in DVD format by Warner Bros . I bought the DVD as soon as I knew it. All of my family love this movie, too. The pictures and audio quality is pristine. Only the extra features is not adequate, only very short Cast & Crew, Awards and Theatrical Trailer. great movie made 1974 really enjoyed

A step back into childhood.
I loved this movie growing up. I had it on a VHS and ran it to death. It is very funny and has some amazing moments in it. One thing about this film struck me as very odd watching it this time around. The narrative is very very strong. The narrative is so strong in fact that some moments are blatantly false, manipulated, or orchestrated. Not to say this film is bad. It is just not as magical as I once thought. It is fun. But definitely falls short in the light of modern animal documentaries. If you are purchasing this to relive a piece of childhood, I would say “GO for it!”. If you are buying this for a child, i would say, “Pass.”. There are better modern films on animals.I loved this movie growing up. I had it on a VHS and ran it to death. The title tells the story of the movie!
My husband used to have a copy on VHS tape of this movie and when we married he told me about it. It was such a good movie I wanted to buy him a DVD of it! I love the animals it shows and the narrative was perfect to each scene. It is beautiful and funny and shows real life events of different animals in Africa. I didn't dislike any part of the movie. It is a classic and for anyone with children they must have a copy! It is also very educational. Even I learned some facts about the behavior of some of the animals I didn't know.
