Seem like really good strings, but typical of .09 strings, took a while to stop stretching. If you have a Harley Benton Manhatten Standard, these strings are not right for that guitar (does not respond well to light flatwounds), but not much else is. These strings are a little bass heavy for Jazz, And are advertised as "Rock" strings, and should be perfect for that type of music. All in all, since I bought them as an experiment on the Harley Benton, I can't complain, FAST DELIVERY !!!!!!!!

    Great so far :-

Just strung my guitar but had a hard time setting the intonation on D. I don't know yet if they will hold tune. Otherwise they are good so far. Sound is clean. I still think I like my Gibson Reissue better. But I have been using those for years so its a change. Just thought I would try something different on my Giby Custom. I do like the smooth feel of the EAD.

Good feel to the fingers, but the stings constantly go out of tune.

I used to use flat wounds years ago on my Fender ES335 and was happy with the way they felt, but I totally reversed my opinion when trying them again this time, not the feel, but with the sound. They sound out of tune even right after I tune them and trying to set the intonation especially on the lower strings was impossible no matter where I set the adjustment. Never again will I waste my money on any flat wound set of strings. Into the garbage they went. I'll just stick to my nice sounding and reliable bullets for my strat. Terribly disappointed.

  • Remembering those days.

I remember way back when I was really into guitars. The strings I used after trial and error ended up being 10s flat wound. They were easy to go up and down the fret board. I even used baby powder to make it even easier. Anyhow I still love the feel of them buggers today. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Guitarzan the player.

  • Good strings

Not as smooth as they used to be, or as others I have used; but quite usable and no squeeks sliding barr chords.
