    A Great Value in a Serviceable Lens

    Given the price point, this lens will work for many people. It is towards the light & plasticy side and can be hit or miss nailing focus (on the Leica T and Leica SL). And the shots can be soft, even when focus seems to be dead on. The focal length is okay for many purposes and the lens is neither big nor heavy. But considering how much it costs to get a lens that is noticeably better, this lens gets a reasonable rating from me for what it can do.

    Compact, sharp and accurate focusing

    An excellent all around lens with superb edge to edge sharpness. I use this lens as my primary 'goto' for everyday photography. Fast and accurate focusing. This is a compact lens much like the 70s vintage 50mm lenses for 35mm film cameras. With my 60megapixel Sigma camera I don't need a zoom lens most of the time, I can simply crop the image to whatever I need and still have plenty of resolution.
