Very flimsy paper-thin plastic. And, the striker plate requires the use of adhesive/glue/epoxy - according to the directions. The first time you open the lid the clasp is so strong it pulls the plate right up breaking the adhesive bond. Would be better to with thicker plastic ans screws to secure it.
