  • Top critical review

Great music, great audio, terrible pressing

The 3 stars is not for the music which we all know to be timeless nor is it for the audio which is way clearer and less murky than my Monarch original. The problem with this LP and seemingly everything coming out of RTI these days is that there is a section of the vinyl that is covered in scratches, and I mean deep scratches that look someone carved them out with a nail. This is the 3rd LP this year that I've bought that were pressed at RTI and that have had this issue; no other pressing plant exhibits this. The disc is playable but with a loud, intrusive tick during the scratched section. The poor quality coming out of one of America's seemingly most prestigious pressing plants is a source of annoyance and disappointment to me; I wouldn't want anyone else to suffer the same ...

  • Valuable reissue

It's a nice repress, sounds very good despite I've had not a chance to compare to the original issue, but everione can be happy with this recent reissue.

  • One of my favorite albums!

Excellent vinyl of the album. I've had it on 8-track, casette, and CD. I have loved it on all!

  • A Must-Have

A psyche band with strings and horns? Hum. Unusual? Yeah. Beguiling? Absolutely. Does the music grow on you like a rash? Uh huh. Is the CD genuinely interesting and thoroughly enjoyable? I'll say. A lost 60s masterpiece? Yep. As a side note, I own The Best of Love so I was familiar with the band, but I'd heard so much about this particular album that my curiosity finally led me to purchasing. Glad that I did. I would have missed something truly special otherwise. A must-have. No text. Enlightening 23-page booklet.
