    Recording Legend John Hammond, Produced Another Legend, Billy Holiday.. Just For You and Me On Ebay..

    The legendary Billy Holiday, this is gotta be the best box set I 've purchased.. What you may or may not know was she was produced, and we could say, discovered by John Hammond Sr. Yes, the same guy that went on to sign Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen and last but not least...a dead Robert Johnson who he tried to recruit for a big show in New York with some other greats. I was impressed with this collection's booklet contained with 4 CDs complete. John Hammond started out early with Billy probably in his early 20s or 30s. The rest is history. For more on Holliday, you'll have to get the collection yourself. Her voice is like blues and jazz heaven with some notable backup musicians I had heard of. One ended up as a big band leader later I cannot say enough about this lady without sounding ...

    This is 1st of four box sets of Billie Holiday music!

    This is the greatest starter set of Billie Holiday music. I have hit the mother load! Next will be the Commodore and Decca Recordings, I already have her Verve collection. That would be all the Lady Day you will ever need!
