  • H.G. Wells would roll over in his grave if he knew about this adaptation of his famous Time Machine novel

    First of all, this film was so FAR removed from the original novel as to make one wonder where the idea came from in the first place. The main character (played by Guy Pearce) seemed to have no clue what the whole script was about. There was very little action throughout--other than the last 10 minutes or so when the Morlocks went on a killing (feeding?) rampage. The Morlock chief (played by Jeremy Irons) could have been portrayed by any actor in need of work because he was so "buried" in prosthetic appliances as to be unrecognizable. And that's about where the film ends. No final scenes of Pearce's character returning to his own time and relating what he'd experienced. There were some well-done CGI graphics that did add a dimension to the film that has been lacking in any previous ...
