We set the blanket to eight to pre-warm the bed. When I went to bed I turned it down to 3. When I got in bed it was almost too hot. I woke up about 3:00 am to go to the bathroom. It was still pretty hot so I set the temperature setting to 2. That was just right. My wife and I are really happy with the blanket. Fast shipping. Would buy from again.
