Space marines team up for squad-based shooter battle in this multiplayer-minded follow-up to id's well-received Quake 4. Designed and developed in the spirit of 2003's Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Quake Wars allows teams of players to take the roles of Global Defense Force soldiers and alien Strogg warriors to compete against one another in mission-oriented scenarios. Class-specific abilities encourage teamwork among squad mates, giving each player in the group an important role based on the soldier-type chosen. To welcome newer players to the field, aspects of play such as mission-objective listings and vehicle piloting have been simplified, while features such character upgrades and global stat-tracking offer dedicated players opportunities to benefit from strong performances and hard-won victories. The Limited Collector's Edition comes special packaging and includes ten collector's cards, a bonus DVD that features concept art and more.

    An outstanding product that goes easy on the wallet moneywise!

    Being a Quake fan right from the start, I absolutely had to purchase this game and what a great decision that was! The playability of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is by far it's best feature. Involving both singleplayer and multiplayer fun, the graphics it uses is visually pleasing and refuses to let anyone become bored. All this and exclusive collectors cards with concept art to boot! This cannot be given a miss by a quake fan or anyone for that matter. All hail Quake!

    ETQW is GOATED.

    Doom 3 was smooth, but ETQW, which is built on Doom 3 had an FPS cap so everything in the game looks really jerky. BUT it is a Splash Damage game, so the gameplay is pretty much uncomparable to anything else. If you never played ETQW you missed out.

    Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

    This game is awesome. The graphics are top notch and the online play is challenging and fun. There are so many abilities for each of the classes within each race to master that this game will remain challenging for a long time. The only downside is that there is no true "single player" campaign for this game, but since it is really a massive rewrite/upgrade to the original Enemy Territory (Wolfenstein) which is only online-play this is not much of a gripe.

    I LIKE STRATEGY GAMES, BUT THIS IS A SURE GOOD SHOOTER GAME IF IT'S YOUR THING! AND THE GRAPHICS ARE SUPER!

    good game...not bad for a first person shooter reallly enjoy playing with my kids its something we can all get into playing
