I bought this game for my 11 year old and he has had a great time with it so far. It is better than the Nintendo DS version because you can build the spore creatures according to body parts that you win as a result of completing missions, finding chrystals, and digging up bones of other creatures. Some of the missions are building other creatures or changing the appearance of others. He has had to dance and battle with other creatures also. He is up to level 4 and still in the same general beginning area of the game and starting to struggle with how to move forward since the missions are getting harder. I also played and liked it but is definately more pre-teen level than adult. I would recommend this game to others of this age range.
Bought this game for the kids, but must admit we spend quite a bit of time watching them play, haven't tried it yet as adults though! A new twist on the primordial soup principal! It is a fighting type game along the Pokemon' concept and/or Monster Rancher games of skillful creatures (you create) with different talents, and defeating similarly skilled opponents gets you things to create with and/or upgrade your species. The kids spend quite a bit of time mastering their unique creature creation skills and overall game play talents. The game is very well designed and has great color and graphics for hours of gaming fun activity. Their friends want to play when they are visiting, and the game spawns hours of laughter and conversation among them. Because of the type of game and subsequent gameplay there are endless possibilities, which is one of the captivating aspects of this game. At our house we feel it was money well spent! Zany creationism fun for Everyone!Read full review
Bought it because my kids like Spore game on PC, so I hope they will also enjoy the console. I am not good at reviews, so I'll just write a short report of my experience. The game has good graphics and sound and interesting plot and is in overall a nice adventure. As far as aesthetics go I have nothing to complain about. Played the game for far too short time to provide a proper review anyway. Controls are OK, I am not a huge fan of Wii's remote, but with the connected nunchuk controller the game play and control is quite pleasant.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
Im 18, not a nerd, i didnt have any wii games for college and i thought this would be a good one. making your own character is a ton of fun, and fighting them with friends, its not too violent, its a cute cartoony kind of feeling game, the story mode is a little difficult, maybe i just suck i dont know i cant find some things and it seems like alot of people have the same problems that i have. but overall it is a great game... a good 4 out of 5
Received this game today and popped it right in. There is more to getting started than I care for and the kids were loosing interest, but our waiting finally paid off. The graphics and imagination that went into this game are awesome to say the least It is some what difficult getting the hang of the controls making it hard for the younger kids. All in all, I'm glad I bought it.
