    Outstanding Rebuild and Deal On A Classic HP Printer

    I was somewhat reluctant to spend any money on a rebuilt HP 2300 considering they are no longer in production and for the same price I could have gotten a more current laser printer. However, I needed the quality of print and the high resolution the HP 2300 provides for a special application. So I decided to take a chance and I am pleased to say that the HP 2300 I received worked flawlessly from the start and looked as if it was a brand new printer. I don't know how this rebuilt was accomplished but regardless, it was quite amazing. The packing of this heavy printer was also flawless and came in a well protected foam padded box. Overall, this is a great deal on this classic printer. Of course, the printer does not come with a toner cartridge or USB cable, you'll have to provide those ...

    HP LaserJet 2300n Printer

    The HP 2300n is a discontinued, yet widely used "office" printer. The "n" is for network. I wired it to my wireless router and am now able to print from just about anywhere in the house. I'm still learning to set it up. The original printing was a bit light, yet from some programs, the print is clear and bold. Probably the font or driver. I just have some playing to do to get working right. The printing speed is way cool 3-4 seconds a page. With my old printer, it was like waiting for a scribe to finish a document. Nice fast printer. I find myself using more paper. Supplies are a bit expensive. A toner cartridge can be up around US$100+. There are refurbished carts that can be had from US$20-50. There is a chip on the toner cartridge. You can get around 6,000 pages from the Q2610A and ...

    Small, Loud and Capable

    When my previous HP printer gave up the ghost, I knew I would replace it with another Laser printer from HP. The Laserjet 2300 was lighter than my other printer - great because I have to lift it up into a tight space, and with an added feature of front control buttons instead of on top. There is a menu window in the front that I haven't made use of. The biggest difference is that this printer is much louder. I am not sure that is anything other than startling, and I wonder why HP would make one so much louder than the other ones I have had? It also suddenly makes a "surge" sound every once in a while, which is, I was told by the seller, a way to keep it ready to print. It does print quickly when directed to, and the quality is fine.     When it comes to Laserjet printers, I have always used hp because of the straight thu paper path. Got the 2300 series with duplex and 48MB of memory and what a differance coming from the 2100M which was very slow because of the 8MB memory. I saw much faster prints but the gray scale was not as sharp as the 2100 series, maybe it's the toner's fault with the so called PrintSmart technology build into the cartridge by which I'm not impressed to date. The printer itself is great and the duplex has saved me alot of paper. and the black prints are tack sharp unlike the gray scale prints.
