This is a wonderful game for girls from ages 5 or 6 and up(and moms too!)to play. The best part about this game is that is not violent in any way. Barbie rides her horse thru a trail to find 6 foals and a wild horse, 200 coins, some presents, sugar cubes, and keys to unlock gates on each trail. She can also pick up fruit to feed the wild animals and keep them away from her horse. When her horse's "friendship meter" gets low, Barbie can pet her horse or feed him some carrots along the trail to bring the meter up again. Barbie can wash her horse in streams or back at the stables, change her horse's color, riding tack, and her own clothing too! The fun is endless! There are several different horses for Barbie to personalize. As you complete the tasks from the first trail (finding at least the foals and the horse), you unlock the second trail, and so on. Each trail is somewhat different from the other. The trails are all beautiful! There are also "clock" races on the trails where Barbie needs to find all the clocks within a certain period of time. Sometimes Barbie can also race her friend Chrissy over a trail. There are also 3 other 1 to 2 player games that can be played with this disc. They are fairly quick, but allow for 2 people to play at the same time. The one thing we were disappointed in was the last trail. It's a maze. There's no way out. You can go to the middle and find something at the gazebo, but that seems to be the end of the game. We were expecting to find a new level or something special. But it was actually the least fun of all the trails. We haven't been able to find anyone who's gone further than we have on the last trail. Other than that, the game is #1 for us! We had originally purchased this game several years ago for our daughter for Christmas. The disc accidently broke 1 1/2 years ago. Our daughter was devastated! We thought she'd stop asking about the game since it was no longer available on the market and couldn't find it anywhere. Still she begged and pleaded! It was truly her favorite game! Thanks to eBay we have another copy!Read full review
This is a Great game for any girl who likes barbie or likes horses I know that the the girls in my house Love it when they rescue one of the lost ponies one of their favorite things is gtting to choose what your horse looks like & what your ridder has on as you can make them both up any way you want, they have have had a real blast playing this Awesome game. if the child is under 5 he/she might need a little help from mom or dad to get the hang of how to run/jump getting on & off of the horse & so on but once they know how it's a Fun Game.
What parent loves the fact that their kids are drawn to video games? I don't either...BUT, they are. Barbie Wild Horse Rescue is as good as they get for young children. Highlights are; Easy, linear game play, Peaceful sounds. NO violence. Helps nurture the caring nature of a child (you press a button to pet the horse you are riding to make it feel better, slowly approach young horses and pet them to let them know you are there to help them, etc..) Graphics are fine--not lifelike but really nice. I paid around $20 with shipping....those asking much more than that should be ashamed. I would say this is a definite buy at the $20 or below mark...any more than that and I would pass. Thanks for viewing my review. It really is a well done game.
This title is wonderfull. My little girls dream of horses come true . Verry easy to ride all day,and easy to take care of . They need to release more games like this one for the young under 10 years old
Great game for girls of all ages! The graphics are good and it's alot of fun to customize your horse and lasso the the ones out in the wild. I've been playing it for years, just because I'm such a horse freak. lol But it is fun, especially for little girls who love horses OR barbie. :)
