    Fenix 2

    Okay i given the device a good review cause if it works it really does work great! I have had some bad luck, hope this one one last. - i had the vevosmart which the led died on me after 5 months - got the fenix 2 week after i got it the device went dead, but was replaced by garmin. - now on my 3rd garmin i really hope it last cause i really enjoy it and love some of the features it comes with pro it got a lot of features of which some of them you will never use it very accurate , and i like that you can use it for all your sports. Can link to phone gps build in Con The battery is not the best and can die on you it is bit bulky, so i can't use it with my motorcycle daily so have to keep taking it on and off when i put my gear on. Need a strap for heart rate doesn't do steps also no sleep ...

    Few good features, not much compared to others

    Compared to other devices, this watch is very basic. Has a "bread crum" style tracking device, doesn't show maps or terrain like other models. Battery life is not as described, lucky to get 20-24 hours out of it.

    Solid waterproof GPS sports watch

    If you want a rugged, waterproof GPS sports watch, you can't really go wrong with the Fenix 2. I bike with a Garmin Edge 500 but wanted a watch to use for swimming as I'm going to have a crack at my first Tri. Battery life appears to be excellent for everyday use, but it drops significantly when using GPS. The only criticism I have - based on limited use so far - is that it takes a few mins to acquire a satellite signal and is certainly not as accurate as my Edge 500. It's a great purchase for sub $200.

    Fenix 1

    Fenix first edition is pretty good universal GPS watch. I bought it as a replacement for Garmin Forerunner 305. Having now some experience with Fenix I can say that this was not a good idea. As a sport watch Forerunner 305 is much more convenient to use. At the same time Fenix is much more universal. Although it is pretty fat (17mm high) one could use it as an everyday watch when GPS off. In this mode it needs recharge once-twice a month. Every time you switch on GPS the time is corrected, so the watch is very accurate. When hiking one could use the watch as GPS logger to log the hike courses, GPS on time is about 10-15h. It is possible to download Garmin style maps of small area about 50x50km, so one could use it as a navigation aide in the wild. The size of map is limited to less than ...

    Great Watch

    At this price point you can't beat it. Way more features than a casio pathfinder and great battery life. The sync to an android phone is a little finicky but works once you figure out the order of syncing things. For just traithalons or running stick with 910 XS but for a watch that can do it all... this is a great buy. I'll be upgrading to the FENIX 3 at some point to take advantage of some of the newer features, but I liked this watch so much I even bought one for a friend...
