A most excellent saw.
My father had a saw similar to this when I was a child. It was with no misgivings that I ordered it. It should last for many years. My father's old saw still works and it is over 40 years old. The adjustments are worn and will not cut precise angles any more. I will need precise cuts for my next project. The laser guide is a nice feature, but good training as a carpenter makes the feature unnecessary. This is a basic saw that will do miracles in trained hands. Cons: It is very loud and still getting used to this style of saw coming from the old Skil worm drive hoping to lighten up my tools without losing productivity. Pros: Laser is alright, hard to see in the sunlight. Seems powerful and I trust Skil longevity so I am hopeful there. Depth and accuracy of cuts is fine, even given the lightweight nature. Overall good value pickup.
