Great hedgetrimmer with a couple exceptions
The trimmer itself has great power and blades are very sharp right out of the box. I was able to get through thick forsythia branches without breaking a sweat. The only thing I've noticed so far is this steel appears to not be stainless. I used it once and the following day saw the blades had some surface rust. Any given bush will have some type of moisture on the leaves/ will not be perfectly dry. The workaround remedy here is to just keep a can of WD-40 handy and apply often but would have been nice of Wen to see this and not assume every bush will be 100% dry. The other issue I have is with the Wen battery products in general. Wen doesn't sell bare tool options so whenever someone wants to buy another battery operated tool, this only comes in tool + battery + charger kit. So if I ... Since they only currently sell the whole package per tool, I'll probably just stick with the chainsaw and hedgetrimmer for now. For those two reasons I knocked off one star.

Excellent power and sharp blades! WEN makes tremendous products. I have the WEN 40 volt chainsaw, push lawnmower and added this. Ditch the gas and cords make an great investment in maintaining your yard. If you think you need Ego or a brand like Dewalt think again. Sorry for sounding like a salesman but you will have no regrets purchasing this hedgetrimmer. You'll save money purchasing this!

Wen cutting products.
The trimmer does the trick quickly. Battery lasts a long time and it chops a pretty good size stem. I have the Wen chainsaw with the same battery so I can swap 'em as needed. So far both have been awesome. Plus no fas and pulling my shoulder out starting them!
