HP SAS EXPANDER CARD came with firmware 2.08. yours may come with one different. latest 2.10 is a bit of a pain to get to work with Dell H710 series raid card but got it working. have to go through bios. older firmware works with ctrl-R when booting. figured that out hard waygreat seller! fast shipment! item was super well packed that they could handle anything the courriers throw at them. need more sellers like them! units in excellent condition. would 1000% buy from again! grade: A++++++++++

    Excellent product, works perfectly!

    Excellent product exactly as described. I connected this card to an LSI SAS 9701-8i SATA controller card, installed it in a new UnRaid server, and it's been running perfectly. This card came with version 2.06 firmware. Even though it worked perfectly, I decided to update the firmware to HP's latest version 2.10. Worked flawlessly. This procedure is not for beginners, however. It was necessary to use a live version of Linux (bootable USB stick) and complete the firmware update procedure through the command line. Again, definitely not for beginners. Couldn't be happier with this product, it works great!
