Affordable, Fast, & Did the Job
I got this part for my 2007 Nissan Maxima. It was in great need of a new rack and pinion. The part came relatively quickly, and my mechanic recently put the part in for me this weekend. So far there is a huge difference in how my maxima drives. It is much smoother and quieter. My car also no longer leaks power steering fluid. I think this means that it's doing its job. It's still pretty early to tell the quality. I will update my review if the leak does not return in the next week or so.I got this part for my 2007 Nissan Maxima. Good Quality
The nuts are 19mm versus OEM 17mm. They look well made. Only caveat is that instead of a hexagonal head on the rear side of the studs on original links, there is a female star or Torx at the tips of the studs. Since I don't have a pass-through torque wrench, I had to estimate tightness with star bit on ratchet with box end 19mm wrench on the nut. After that checked torque with regular torque wrench. Great value but you better....
This set was a great value for my 2003 Altima 2.5L. Don't make the same mistake I did. Make sure you center your rack before installing. Tie rod ends and sway bar links may require a grease gun application so have one handy.
