I bought this game because I play any games involving motorcycles (dirt, street or speed). This is now the official game for moto gp (a first for Capcom) so I figured it should be good because the previous series by Namco was (and still is) a blast to play. I liked the fact that you can compete in the 125 and 250 class as well as the MotoGP class, the smaller bikes are great to learn the ropes and earn bike upgrades while competing on the 18 official MotoGP tracks. Graphics/Presentation: The graphics of this game are good without being too refined. They're on par with the Namco series, although a tiny more finished, but still below the 'Tourist Trophy' quality. The 'cockpit view' camera angle is always appreciated, menu is clean and easy to navigate, and I find game loading to be a bit slow. Handling, Gameplay: 3 levels of riding skills will take you to 'full-assist- Arcade' to 'Advanced' and 'Simulation' depending on your choice. The first 2 levels are easy to master while the 'simulation' takes some more time. In Sim' mode the physics are ok but not on par with such game as Poliphony's 'Tourist Trophy'. You don't 'feel' the bike as real. I found the gear shifting/change to be a little slow/rough, meaning you have to find the right rpms to shift smoothly, but maybe it's to reinforce the 'race bike' behavior, which it does. In the MotoGP class, the bike slides/looses grip very easily under hard acceleration and it's tough to control, it's the one thing I didn't really enjoy because pushing a button, acceleration is harder to dose than on a real bike's throttle. Again, it's probably just a lack of practice but it's truely noticeable. The brakes seem ok though the rear brake feels weak. Bike settings are simple, but I think the secret is to master throttle action before anything else. There's also a 'Challenges' mode where you can earn some goodies, it's well-challenging- but if you're the 'never surrender' kind of player, that should keep you busy for a while. Like, race (and beat) Valentino Rossi on a portion of a GP Track, yeah right! Game Options: Great choice of game options so you can customize it to your liking. Conclusion: MotoGP Bikes rip! An interesting though difficult sim' that can also be enjoyed as an Arcade. These bikes are fast and MotoGP'08 lets you feel the speed. Enjoy.Read full review

This is one of the best games out there if you like motorcycle racing games. The moto GP world has alot of games and this is the BEST ONE yet. The best graphics and the experience playing it is like acctualy riding the bike and being in the race.
