    Identical to OEM ice maker

    After replacing the valve assembly that controls the water and icemaker on the door I was still not getting ice as when the refrigerator was new. So I replaced the icemaker itself and once again we're getting ice like it's going out of style. I think this icemaker works better than the original one that came with the refrigerator... we'll see how long it lasts. Everything these days has plastic gears and tends to have a shorter life span. I had to switch one part from the old OEM icemaker because the new icemaker didn't fit quite right... comparing the two units side-by-side on the counter I could see the difference and switched parts, no big deal. Outside of that issue everything was plug & play, very pleased with our purchase and quite a lot less expensive than the OEM part.

    Right replacement that works.

    This one matched the original ice maker of my Frigidaire side-by-side. Where it differs is in the switch and the shut-off mechanism. I liked the vertical three-position switch the original model came with. Off, On, and a temporary Cycle action that would manually initiate the remover to rotate, eject the ice cubes (with the help of the warming element I assume) and trigger the water valve to fill it up. Now it's only On or Off, and I just have to wait for the fridge to decide when to start all that. Bit of a lag when troubleshooting the system. The switch itself is horizontal and sits a little higher than the original, but doesn't keep the shelf from going all the way in. The other thing that's quite different is the shut-off bar. So far I can't get it to stop making cubes, which then drop ...

    Ice maker

    I can't say enough about this ice maker. It was simple to install, easy to hookup and easier to make ice....and lots of it. This is the 3rd ice maker I have put in our refrigerator and this one by far is the best one yet, in fact this ice maker makes too much ice. Even for parties we have more then enough ice to go around and by morning the tray is full of ice again. I would buy this ice maker again. The best one around for the price and it actually works better than any of the others I have used before. If you buy one you won't be sorry!!

    Excellant Replacement

    I began searching the internet after having problems with my current refrigerator not producing ice. After reading and searching, with the help of a friend, decided it would be much easier and economical to replace the entire assembly, rather then to try diagnosing what exactly was wrong. If found this product to have the Best pricing with the quickest shipping(actually arrived days ahead of the posting date), and my ice maker is now working perfect.

    Great replacement at a great price!
