  • Macro Feature Is Good, Distance Zoom IS NOT

Bought this for the almost-fisheye zoom-out possibilities to play with but very disappointed when I tried it out. Put it on my Nikon 18-55mm kit lens to try it at the 18mm zoom length and you can BARELY notice any zoom-out (just guessing but maybe out to 15mm equivalent - yeah, it's barely noticeable). And what zooming out there was was unusable as there is vignetting in the photo so I had to zoom in a little to get rid of he vignetting. The sample photos of this item purportedly showing the photo at 18mm and then at 18mm with the lens attachment I believe are bogus - there is no way that this attachment could possibly zoom out to capture the entire building when you can only see the front entrance without the attachment...no...way. However, removing the zoom-out piece leave a macro ...

  • Love it

I got this fisheye mostly for my 50mm lens. I've owned many Nikons over the years and a 50mm lens was always a "normal" lens! i.e. not wide-angle, not telephoto. But apparently on a Nikon DSLR, a 50mm lens is about 1.5X telephoto, which I don't want. So this fisheye will give me a more-or-less "normal" lens.
