Excellent grips
Really nice grips, slightly soft but not too soft. The shape works really well for my hands, couldn't get to grips (pun intended) with Grip Puppies over Renthal mediums. On my Honda CBF600 with stock bar end weights, I had to trim off 5mm or so from the outside of the grip, having decided to keep the inner rubber rings as they are. Your choice really as this can decide where the thick part of the grips will sit in your palms - towards the centre or outside. Didn't had to use any glue/hair spray/soapy water/etc. to put them in. Just remove the old grips making sure the bars are clean, plain water on the bars and inside of the grips and they slide in quite easily. 24h later they're there to stay, no movement whatsoever after a week and 2000kms of riding through the Austrian Alps.Really nice grips, slightly soft but not too soft. I keep buying these as they work great!
I've been a 714 fan since the first pair I bought about 18 years ago. Those were still on a bike when I sold it after 5 years. These grips don't harden with age and they stay together, unlike some laminated rubber ones. The 714s are slightly thicker than the OEM Honda/Suzuki/Kawasaki/Yamaha grips they've replaced, but not so much smaller hands will find them bulky. They do fine wet or dry and have never required grip glue of any kind. All I've done is clean the bars with brake cleaner and spray just a small amount inside a grip before installation. The brake cleaner dries very quickly and the grips are ready to use in minutes. Still want to be extra secure? The three grooves will accept a couple of turns of safety wire each. I unfortunately have Sasquatch sized hands. Normal sized grips are to small in diameter, so after riding for about an hour my hands felt cramped and sore. These grips are great, they’re just the right diameter, not too big like your riding a tour bike. They have a nice soft feel and grip the gloves really well. Just what I was looking for!
These grips are just what I was looking for. I bought them to replace the factory grips on my Kawasaki KLX250S. I wanted grips that were comfortable and just a little bigger than the factory grips and these are perfect. They are slightly bigger in the palm area which helps to fit the hands even better. I have NO complaints!
