    Vintage PANASONIC RQ 309S Portable Audio Cassette Tape Recorder

    Although the Slim-Line is lighter (which I rather prefer) and this one is deeper and heavier, this one reminds me of one I had back in the 70s which is a trip down "memory lane" reminding me of the tapes and recordings I used to do back in those days. And this unit although half a century old works fine, a far cry notable compared to these modern recorders made overseas that conk out in a few months or aren't loud enough or whatever. Panasonic rocked back in those days. Even today their products are made overseas. But, the 70s models are solid state even to this day, if you can get one that still works, and this one does.
