The food has a long shelf life, and the selection includes roasted chicken, beef Stroganoff, cheesy beef, Teriyaki chicken, and Southwest-style chicken. Good tasting and single courses are easy to prepare!
The food is good tasting and easy to prepare. The one drawback it has is in common with all emergency foods I have tried over the years. That is the small portions which are provided in the packaging. I know these are "emergency" rations, not six course meals, but even MRE's have much higher calorie count per meal and they are emergency rations also. Preparing multiple dishes of Wise foods to make up fuller meals like "mom used to make" seems somewhat awkward under emergency circumstances, but it can be accomplished. MRE's don't last 25 years though. I'm not certain Wise meats do either... i bought these some time ago and don't remember for certain what their meats shelf life is right now. Unknown Quality and Taste
Don't know how anybody can review survival food like this bucket assortment because if you break the seal to inspect or try it, you lose most of the storage life. Wise sent me a free sample but it was not like any of the assortment I bought. The sample was OK, kind of like mush. Not just for emergencies, I bought this because we were snow bound for 2 weeks last winter on Cape Cod
After exhausting our fresh food we were stuck with mostly canned goods that were left in the pantry because frankly neither of us cared for it. Frankly at 65 this scared the hell out of us! I tried One meat bucket and was shocked at how good it is. It has had such an impact on us we decided to restore our old Toyota RV and stockpile this food for both short and long term economic, weather related and othe inconveniences as well as being prepared for any disasters unlikely as they may be. It is also good enough sometimes we just choose it as a regular quick meal. It is also surprisingly economical and recession proof. We are greenhouse growers and are growing and drying herbs and spices as well as canning fresh vegetables on our own. We keep it in both the RV and the house. I highly recommend this product! no teryaki
