Motorola Droid 3 XT862; Good camera, nice screen
This camera is very sturdy, and a little bit heavy, it is only 3G, but has a SIM card slot for foreign network compatibility (good traveler's phone!) The screen is large and the rear camera is of adequate quality, but the front camera is lacking (like most phones!) The slide out keyboard is nice when you don't want to fight with the touchscreen to get the exact edit you need, but it is not consistently backlit. Sometimes the keyboard buttons are lit, but often times they aren't. The phone gets has given great signal performance using PagePlus service, using the Verizon Network. I have often times placed calls from the side of the mountain (25miles away, but in line of sight with cell towers, I imagine, You can't beat this phone for the quality you get price!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Purchased this to replace a phone that no longer works on the AT&T network. The price was Ok, as the user is not a power user, however, I had to back peddle when they received it without the back panel (no battery cover). I bought this for my mom instead of the mp3 player she had asked for because this can be used as an mp3 player and it is a great introduction to smart phones. The cost was about half the price as a name brand mp3 player and 10x the functionality. I set up pandora and iheart radio as well as email facebook and all the other essential apps through a wifi connection and it runs great! The phone is not activated so wifi is required but thats is the case with all non activated phones. Okay first phone
These were replacement phones till my contract ran out. They were very slow, would freeze multiple times and shut off repeatedly. I knew they were cheap but thought they would work for a few months. If you are looking for a basic smart phone without long term contracts and/or a high price tag, ands you are not one of these "hi tech" persons who always needs the "latest greatest", the XT862 Droid 3 is the perfect phone for you. It may not be as fast as an I-Phone or one of the other newer smart phones, but it does get the job done. I am very satisfied that I got this new phone for a price that was well under $100.
