  • A FUN Record Player!

I received my Revolution Go! and set up was super easy. It’s a portable so don’t expect audiophile sound out of it, but it does have two 5 watt RMS speakers and a passive sub in between to push out a little bit of low frequency. It has RCA outs and sounds great through an amped system or powered speakers. It also has vinyl Bluetooth transmit and a Bluetooth receiver if you want to dial in your phone or tablet tunes. It’s a 3 speed and has an auto stop on/off switch. The battery quickly charges and lasts quite a while at 50% volume, making it great for the patio, pool or testing out used vinyl, on the fly. Great Audio Technica cartridge and stylus. Very quiet and I have no wow or flutter with mine. Plays very smooth. Speed seems to be right on, too. Cool voice command prompts to help you with changing modes, battery usage, etc. Super pleased with my player. People complain about the $199 price tag, but you can find brand new online as I did here for considerably less than the big box stores. It is definitely worth the $100-130 range. Great strap and handle for toting! Also has a headphone jack.

  • I’m impressed!

I’m usually not a fan of these modern day phonographs, as they mostly have poor sound quality, and the majority have a cheap ceramic cartridge, a bad stylus, and basically chew up your treasured vinyl records. This is not the case here. Although the “Go” shares the same mechanism as others, it sports a moving magnet cartridge by Audiotechnica. It has a built in rechargeable battery, and is Bluetooth capable both receiving or transmitting. You can play it through a Bluetooth speaker or system, as well as play your smartphone through the phonograph. It not only works and sounds good, but it’s lightweight and attractive. Easy to carry to the local flea market when searching for records, or take to a party to spin the oldies. Like I said, I look at most of these type machines with a doubtful mind, but this one really impressed my vinyl junkie persona.
