The Nikon F2AS is a classic and durable mechanical SLR camera preferred by connoisseurs of old cameras. The Nikon film camera has a huge interchangeable view finder that allows you to capture photographs with accuracy. The Nikon F2AS uses modern LED readouts and silicon photodiodes, which helps you to capture good quality photographs. Super-sensitive meter in the Nikon film camera detects ISO setting and alerts the user through an indication on whether the correct exposure has been set or not, allowing you to capture quality photographs especially during night times. The shutter speed of the SLR camera varies from 1/2,000 - 1/90 providing an enhanced light exposure to your subject. Mirror Lock-Up feature in the Nikon F2AS reduces vibration caused by mirror flips while capturing wide angle slots letting you capture blur free photographs.

    Superb mechanical camera

    We are now in the age of electronic cameras and the results obtainable with electronic wonders is amazing. However, mechanical cameras, which reached their apex decades ago, can be astonishing mechanical wonders. Sure, a Leica M3 is marvelous, but so is the Nikon F2, particularly a late F2 AS. Oozes precision, the viewfinder is sharp, bright and contrasty making focusing a snap. Batteries are still readily available for the F2 Photomic finders. The F2 is the last of a venerable line of cameras, and its successor, the F3, is also great (I own both). Which is better? Neither but I do find some features are better on the F2 while the F3 has some better fetaures.

    Top 35mm Film Camera

    If a manual 35mm film camera is what you want, this is the one. Just oozes with quality. It's a little heavy but it's built tough. Great pictures, properly exposed and sharp. Been looking for one of these for a few years. In great condition.

    Like a fine wine...

    Some things get better with age, and these all-mechanical Nikons are the ultimate expression of this thought. Properly serviced, there's no reason why it wouldn't last the rest of one's life and beyond. Imagine finally having bought the last camera you'll ever need; how that would free one up to actually then make photographs - rather than obsess over what's coming next, should you wait, etc. The F2AS incorporates enough modern technology in the DP-12 metered prism to be highly accurate and very useful with modern day lenses, while still possessing the magical qualities an all-mechanical, robust, highly engineered nuts and bolts old-school camera provides. It really is the perfect blend; the ultimate expression of engineering and technology for today's photographer interested in exploring ...

    Awesome. Love it.

    I am a Nikon guy. I have several newer ones and a large collection of the best 35 mm film cameras as they are going up in value. I keep this F2AS and my F4 loaded with film at all times. I like the F2AS best. It is sweet and fast handling and the build is so high quality it is a joy just to hold it in your hands. Spend the money and get all black and as close to mint as possible. It is like owning a $40,000 Swiss watch that is an astonishingly good camera.

    This is a paradigma of the mechanic cameras from its time, and from all times. You can fit all Nikon using AS meter until G lenses genreation. Nikon F2, is an ikon of photography, to use it with roll film or to collect.
