Well built, better than original, and made in USA
Chose this from a large array of aftermarket choices after reading about the company on their website. This seems to be the only aftermarket furnace control board engineered AND made in USA. It's extremely rare to assemble electronics in USA these days so I was skeptical of the quality. I inspected the board closely and was very happy to see that it's made with the most reliable design elements and assembly techniques (I'm in the ECAT business). Additionally, there seems to be a polymer layer applied to both sides of the board after soldering that would keep out moisture and oxygen, extending the life. My original board (White-Rodgers 2006) did not have this. It installed perfectly, with mounting holes and connectors right where they should be, everything snug yet simple to install without special tools. Fan control Issues

Very Good Brand
I have worked as a HVAC service tech for going on 24 years, doing both residential & commercial. I have never once had to replace an ICM brand control board, & I would rate them as being of superior quality to oem control boards, not to mention that ICM boards are far less expensive. I just purchased two of these ICM286 boards for truck stock, & noticed on the boxes that they are made in the USA! I have never paid much attention to other ICM boards that I have installed in the past (to see if they too are USA made), but I salute ICM for not outsourcing to China to purchase far inferior control boards.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

probably better than the original part it replaces.
The failed original circuit board used by the furnace builder in my 9 year old furnace was made by someone overseas and was probably an inferior part to begin with.
