In general this hotspot works well. It is a big improvement over the prior model M2000. However, there are still some flaws in the user interface that make things difficult to setup and debug. As in the M2000, the logging still does not work correctly. However, once these issues are worked through it does work well. As with most hotspots, the 5GHz WiFi has a pretty short range. The 2.4GHz WifFi however works well. Mine is a T-mobile unit. It is worth noting that there are specific versions for Verizon and AT&T. Be sure that you are buying the correct version. The Inseego website has more information.
This hotspot has several cousins according to the manufacturer's data sheet, and the user guide PDF is very helpful, especially the section "Best charging practices," the admin UI has plenty of features to play around, and for me, the Factory Reset in the onscreen Menu is good enough
