Collect over 100 dinosaur-inspired creatures called "vivosaurs" and prepare them for battle in Fossil Fighters for DS. Use the handheld's touch-screen interface to hammer, chip, drill, and sweep away rocks to unearth an assortment of delicate fossils. The more careful you are with the fossil cleaning process, the more powerful the resulting creature will become in battle. Assemble individual body parts to build a fearsome fighter to challenge other vivosaurs. After each one-on-one fight, your vivosaur will earn experience and grow stronger over time. Use the system's wireless function to trade fossils or challenge your friends to creature-on-creature combat.

    Quirky but great.

    Bought this game when I was a kid and decided to get it again to re-live some memories. Honestly, this game does a lot while also taking the simple routs in things, likely due to developer budget and utility access. The graphics are really really poor for the most part, but makes up for it by playing to its own faults. As far as the story goes, it's a little slow to start but picks up quickly as you continue to play, becoming more and more compelling as the game continues on. The story never forgets old components and characters, and comes up with unique ways to include them into the story in the later parts of the game, thankfully it never feels like a re-use of bad story telling, which you get a lot of with newer games today.     Just like I remembered it (an enjoyable dinosaur monster-collector)

    I've been craving to play this game again, its a childhood staple of mine. A really fun monster collector that dinosaur fans and Pokémon fans will enjoy. The graphics are beginning to show their age, but still quite impressive for DS standards. Battle mechanics are a fun take, different from Pokémon but kind of refreshing. I recall the campaign being decently long and entertaining. Though heads up, one of the main gameplay features works best with a working DS/3DS microphone to blow into. There are two save file slots which can be reset easily on the menu screen.

    Classic!

    My favorite thing about fossil fighters is how bad the overworked graphics are, giving this game a very retro feel. The vivosaurs are better designed and detailed than the overworked, giving cute and creative monsters to play with. For a B-rated game, this has a beautiful plot line and is full of cute puns and characters. A lovely game to play if you like Pokémon and/or dinosaurs.

    Great game that's fun to play and very nostalgic.

    Great, fun game that brings in the nostalgia. Not the best graphics but the story is good enough to make up for them and so is the game play. The game came in great condition with the game in the box with the manual.
