Energizer Max Alkaline D cell Packs
Large Alkaline D cells are becoming hard to find locally- specially at a discount price! The Energizer Max have a 10 year shelf life (this batch expires in 12/28) AND ARE GUARANTEED NOT TO LEAK when used up. Standard or Heavy Duty carbon cell batteries have a nasty habit of corroding through their cases when old or used up which wreaks havoc with their electrical connections. This is because their case is actually one of the battery electrodes. Alkaline cells are constructed differently and us a base solution instead of an acid as their electrolyte, therefore they are less likely to fail catastrophically and cause additional damage from corrosion. Alkaline cells can replace standard carbon cells and produce more power - or the same power for a longer time. Longer service life, longer shelf life and less likely to kill your tech when they die make them a good choice! My remote doorbell and my chiming wall clock are thanking me for using alkaline batteries by giving me continued long service.

I've been buying Energizer batteries for years. I usually buy them over Duracell! Because I feel that the longevity of the product is greater than other brands of batteries that I have tried.
