I was worried, but I have it set up and it seems to be fine so far. No backlight bleed, no dead pixels. I did end up with a clear, red, plastic little heart, that appears to have fallen out of the box. I dunno if a kid or something lost it in there before it got returned as open box or what. Not even sure if that's where it came from. Just showed up when I was done
