  • Tascam Quality for Professional Projects!

We deal in audio equipment and couldn't be more pleased with this or ANY sound recorder. Excellent quality and value as well as lots of options and uses. If there's anything to complain about it's only that it would be nice to have more mini input plugs. Tons of control and versatility, both in and out. Lightweight with tons of quality. Very simple to use if you watch a video ahead of time rather than shuffle through the manual. The only real beef we have is that we're mounting a Canon 5D Mk III DSLR with battery pack, lenses, and mic above it and the unit is just a bit weak to handle all of that gear above it in any type of sturdy fashion, though it WILL support the weight. You're probably better off to attach some type of side mount if you're planning on a camera/tripod combo ...

  • Excellent product for DSLR film making

While it is fairly expensive it certainly lives up to its hype with typical Tascam quality and attention to detail whether you're pulling in mono or stereo signals. These can then be recorded of a flash card or sent straight to the camera through a mike line input. It also has the nice feature of recording at two levels so you can patch if the high input line overloads. Nice for saving extra takes.

  • Great product to improve your audio recording

I'm still learning how to use this amazing little device. I have along with other mics a personal recorder. I use this on rare occassion. I'll be honest I get pretty good sound with mic put into the camera. I'm not sure I'm trying to hook this up but when I put it into the mic out I'm not getting any sound on the camera itself. Is this how it's suppose to be? I thought you could record two one on camera then one on the unit this way you can sink them up?
