    the first one was defective but they sent a replacement and it works good and the seller stands by his word i tested 2 cpu 2 different memory and power supply on the first defective one like they asked second replacement they sent took a little extra time and they even tracked it leaving me updates and when it arived i tested it and everything worked with no problems and they stand behind their word negative replacement took longer then the first one

    Works

    Dropping in a CPU upgrade can be risky but this part went right in and worked immediately without even changing any BIOS settings. I'm happy to have it because it's the msot powerful CPU ever made for this chipset and there's somewhat hard to find.

    Defective Processor

    Arrived defective. When I installed it computer would not boot. When I replaced original i3 everything worked fine, but most of my apps had been deleted.

    This little processor gives my old PC new life

    It's great to have 4 cores running on my five year old PC. I was worried that the power draw might be too much for the energy star power supply, even though the specs for the PC said it was compatible. The power supply is doing just fine. I would give this processor a five star rating, if it wasn't so far outdated.

    1st Gen Core i7 Remains Solid in All Tasks at 11 years old

    CPU came in padded mailer and was very clean minus a little speck of thermal paste on the contacts. Was very easy to remove and did not have any impact on performance. Nothing to complain about. Even at 11 years old, it is easily usable for another 5+ years.
