    An adventure of hope and triumph

    An excellent and entertaining story right up to the final episode, the acting, sets, and costuming are superb. Very little is known about the real Li Hao Lan, because her son, after becoming emperor, allowed a major purge of the historical records of the day relating to Hao Lan and Libuwei, and only a single historical record survives to today. The final episode regretfully does not speculate on what really happened to to Li Hao Lan after she was forced by her son the emperor to leave the capitol city, but the numerous triumphs and tragedies Hao Lan endured during the series makes it very entertaining.
